Pentair® Poly Glass Tanks

Pentair® Poly Glass Tanks
Pentair® Poly Glass Tanks

Pentair® Poly Glass Vessels have been the industry standard for quality and performance for over 30 years. Featuring a one piece, seamless high density polyethylene liner and an encapsulated, leak free engineered polymer inlet,  Poly Glass Vessels are designed to provide you with years of worry free performance.

Each tank comes with a 3 year warranty which covers manufacturing defects only. A vacuum breaker and flex connectors must be used on all installations. There is no warranty coverage for anything that is not deemed to be a manufacturing defect (such as improper handling/storage, improper installation, outdoor installations that do not include appropriate shelter and UV protection).

Importance of vacuum breakers: bigger diameter tanks have a higher risk of damage due to negative pressure as there is an unsupported void in the tank. A momentary vacuum situation can cause the tank to collapse inwards and crack. Increase risk may arise from long enclosed drain piping; tank is installed on higher elevation; complex installations with pumps and valves open/close sequencing etc. These pressure vessels are rated for an internal negative pressure of 5˝ HG (17 Pa) (negative 2.5 psi) vacuum below atmospheric. If negative pressure could ever exceed 5˝ Hg (17 Pa), an adequate vacuum breaker must also be properly installed.

Importance of flex connectors: When pressurized, tanks can "grow" up to about 1/4". Having some flex in the top piping of the tank will prevent stress on the tank’s “neck” when the tank expands. Any anchors should be placed such that they do not prevent the flex of pipes.
